While all visitors are welcome to view the site, the use of the services provided by this site for buyers and providers of FILM,TV, MUSIC and BOOK write ups is for members only. Therefore, in order to avail the services offered by the site, users would be required to register themselves.
To protect and safeguard the interests of all users, members are not permitted to lend their user ID or password to others. However, in the case of a company, each member may be provided with their own password.
Before proceeding, please ensure that you have read and understood the terms and condition and the privacy policy of the site.
- Purpose : The purpose of our website, thescripthub.com, is to provide a interface for users to submit or view content / texts / works / scripts, employment opportunities, individual resumes etc., as may be defined by the Site Administration from time to time. . It should not be used for any other activity beyond the services offered on the site.
- Proof of Identity : As the data on the site is highly confidential and in order to protect and safeguard the interests of all users, random checks are done to verify the identity of the users to ensure that only the registered members, themselves are using the services of thescripthub.com. Any violation would be subject to an immediate ban on usage and blacklisting of the user. Further legal action would also be instituted against the violator(s).
- Copyright : In order to qualify for listing with thescripthub.com, scripts/books must be registered under the Indian Copyright Act (in case of a writer based outside India, the work may be registered in a country which is a listed under the International Copyright Order)This is a mandatory requirement and can be done by availing the services provided on our site at : copyright. thescripthub.com or through any other recognized copyright/registration agency. Mailing a copy of your own work to yourself, does not meet the requirements laid down and is not acceptable.
- Caution : Conduct of Writers:
- Contacting an industry professional concerning a viewed logline or synopsis is strictly prohibited. In case a user has any doubt, with regard to communications with an interested party, he must contact the Site Administration for clarifications before proceeding in any manner. Writers, found in violation of this would subject to immediate removal of all of the screenwriter's scripts, without refund.
- Writers shall be informed if anyone downloads / looks at any of his / her treatments or scripts/books. A screenwriter, if unrepresented, must allow a period of at least 3 - 6 weeks, to go by before seeking consent from the Site Administration to contact the industry professional (producer, representative, director, etc.) who has viewed their treatment or script/book.
- A Producer or an Industry Member, while reading the synopsis or logline, finds a script/book as per their needs, he/she is permitted to contact the writer or look at the script/book online by utilising the personal messaging system incorporated on the thescripthub.com only.
- Producers may look at 10-40 synopses and hundreds of loglines on any given day. This does not mean or indicate in any manner that they are interested in the script/book or wish to correspond via e-mail or phone calls with the writers. The log of viewers of a writer's synopsis or logline provided to writers serves only as a record and form of protection for the writer.
- When a writer violates this User Protocol, the trust that has been built with the Industry Members is instantly destroyed. It also affects the interest of the industry members to use the site to search for scripts. This also results in violation of the confidentiality agreement between thescripthub.com with Industry Members. Furthermore, it also hampers the relationship with Industry Members and thereby resulting in immense loss to all members of thscripthub.com. Anyone found guilty of violation shall be dealt with strictly and penalised for their action.
- Scripts : The thescripthub.com team reserves all rights towards all material hosted on their servers. However, this does not effect the copyright of the Writer, as the copyright remains with the writer.
- “Scripts” shall include all literary texts, books, stories and reading material.
- Writers whose scripts / books that are found to be plagiarised or infringing copies of other works are liable to be banned and blacklisted immediately. No refunds will be made to the offender.
- On receiving a complaint concerning a script/book due to plagiarism, copyright violation, quality, thescripthub.com may remove it from the site. The user/ writer shall be wholly and solely liable in case of such violations. The thescripthub.com team shall review such complaints before taking action. The decision of the thescripthub.com team with regard to all such complaints shall be binding and final.
- Scripts containing pornographic content are strictly forbidden. The decision as to whether a script is pornographic is at the sole discretion of thescripthub.com. The user/ writer shall be wholly and solely liable in case of such violations. There is no refund for scripts removed from thescripthub.com because of pornographic content.
- Discussion Forum and Blogs: The thescripthub.com shall monitor the use of the discussion forum and blog services provided to the users. Any content that is deemed inappropriate by the Site Administration / thescripthub.com team, will be edited or removed without assigning reasons.
- Promotion of Interest: The thescripthub.com is able to attract large numbers of people, from well established industry professionals to young aspiring writers to use thescripthub.com by various promotional activities and campaigns. The thescripthub.com reserves all rights with regard to all material, advertising, banners, slogans, electronic and print media. No person other than those specifically authorised or those who have sought consent in writing, shall be permitted to use the same in any manner, whatsoever. The thescripthub.com may use the names of users and members for its own promotional activities in any manner as it may deem fit.
- Results: The thescripthub.com ’s results are published periodically which serve as a clear indication to all users and viewers of thescripthub.com. If a user is awarded writing work, sells or options a script, goes into development with a script or obtains representation as a result of our newsletter, thescripthub.com may post this success on their website and in their newsletters and press releases. If a script is sold/optioned or the writer gets work, a development deal, representation, etc., through thescripthub.com, the writer must inform thescripthub.com via email. Thescripthub.com reserves all rights to announce any successes obtained through our network.
thescripthub.com reserves the right to amend this protocol from time to time as per its requirements and in keeping with the law, without assigning reasons or notification. All members and users of thescripthub.com are required to regularly check these guidelines for updates.
